I've never had a shimano give me any problems ever especially in the salt water I would try giving them a consideration

Deep structure if you have the gear to find where the cover is

      Get a good shimano Calcutta
    2. flytyer 0
      Ok thanks @DMyeWNY

The Booyah leaders with blades have helped me catch some recently.

Daiwa sweepfire blank. Lews sg300 or penns battle 4000. A long mh or h rod is good for throwing the big baits. A good leader and braid. A leader with a blade helps ...more for vibration and sight.

      Ok thanks @calvinfease

I've Muskie fished but a few times, and I've always just used my bass gear. I'll use Muskie baits on the same tackle I throw my Hudds, Savage Gears, ...more Ragos and other large swimbaits on.

I started with a Walmart one then bought an orvis streamline that is discontinued but the encounter is a bit price but cast awesome

Cabelas wind river combo or bass pro intruder combo
    3. the_amanator 0
I started out with the Cabelas RLS+ combo. It came pre spooled with fly line, and came with a case. It's awesome. It was a little pricy, I paid $200 for it, ...more but it's on sale right now
    4. Colby Teall 0
A cabelas Cahill fly rod or a eagle claw fly rod would be a good one to start out with
