Not a gar but a fish at least. I was anchored up in 15 feet of water and casting into 20 feet of water. Would pump the rate trap off the bottom using a slow retrieve. ...more After about 5 seconds this guy hit and pulled a little drag making it exciting. Weather was cloudy with a high of 90 and a water temp of 85°F. Water clarity was at around 12 feet. Big 40 pound carp were busting the surface all day

    4. crookcody19 0
Size 2 j hook. I'll probably cast and retrieve it but anyway will work! Hardest thing is getting the rope to melt to the hook right @USARetired
    5. What kind of hook are you using? You casting and retrieving, bouncing, jerking? Cool, cheap way to throw down a lure . Awesome.

  5. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Kvd top water popper with orange belly. 8 pound test trilene fluorocarbon

Went fishing today and caught my first top water fish of the year. Casted parallel to the bank where I saw fish hitting the surface. Would tap the bait twice and ...more then let it pause for a second. Weather was sunny with a high of 82°F and a water temp of 73°F. Water was clear with a visibility of 2 feet. Wind was around 1 to 2 mph. Water had clumps of algae over it so it made it difficult but the

Planning on buying a gallon of this bait but wanted to know if any of yall have used it and what yall think

    1. James Scott 0
ive used it and caught a few catfish on it work really good when its hot out .the fish i have caught on it were a little on the smaller side but good eating size
    2. Collin Collin 0
CJ's Catfish bait works very well in the right place but I personally don't like to mess with fibrous stink baits
    3. brandon harris 0
It's as good as secret 7 , but I like it better because it can be used on a bare treble. It works best with #6 treble.
    4. brandon harris 0
It's as good as secret 7.
    5. dallin dallin 0
I like secret 7 better... Same ingredients I just like the consistency better. Sudden impact is fibrous, secret 7 is pasty which I like for bait holders
    6. Powers911 0
Hey same here. Let me know if it's worth buying.

Haven't tried that before, let me know how it works
