Flipping laydowns in shallow water. Got caught in an absolute hurricane of a storm and broke my trolling motor but it made the fish bite

  2. THE 108 YEAR FISH DROUGHT IS OVER FOR ME!!!! Me and @TennesseeTroutboy fished our first TBN event on Priest yesterday. We couldn't get a keeper but we did land ...more 7 short fish. Spend our day chucking crankbaits around the chunk rock on peagravel banks near the channel. The banks seemed to need a steep slope to them for the fish to be there. Alot of fun and a learning experience!

I hate this lake pt3. I've been at my cabin fishing since friday and I have not caught anything and until today I hadn't had a bite. I was heading out to ...more fish this morning when I saw a big object with a vulture on top of it, and I knew immediately that it was a cow. This lucky 600lb heffer had died and somehow ended up in the river and is still out there floating right now!!

There could be a killer crocodile in this lake, plenty of food, warm water and 3" water visibility @fishcutmyline
    9. Sean Wilms 0
I've seen dead racoons floating by on two different occasions in the same spot, weird but not quite like a cow

Had a similar event with a doe on the Guad, she was bloated and floating, got caught up in the current below one of the roller dams. Stunk to high heaven

I'm sure the sewage and nuclear waste in the water killed him when he drank it

Fall swimjigs?!?!? This was one of 5 I caught on saturday via the swimjig. It was pretty much the only thing I could get the fish that were chasing shad to bite. ...more I fished it around the shad and around rocks/docks, just slowrolling it along the bottom so it would brush the rocks. You could feel the hits and 4/5 I caught were keepers so not a bad pattern. It was a cold 54° with a strong W wind.

  5. Details: Other Snapper

My second "I hate this lake post" of the weekend. This, once again so it's his fault, happened with @TennesseeTroutboy . I chucked the swimjig by some ...more rocks and I got a tap almost immediately. I set the hook and it came tight. We argued about whether I had a log while I brought it in because I felt it moving. Turns out I had snagged this little guy in the foot. Unfortunately this was all I caught.

Got this solid 1lb 8oz bass on Friday afternoon. I found alot of shad being chased in a pocket and I slowly got back in there. They didn't seem to want a jerkbait, ...more crankbait, underspin, or anything. I tied on a Pop-R and got this one on the very first cast. As you can see, it was quite cold and windy outside. It seemed like the fish would hit the shad when the wind would calm down for a minute

  7. Details: Flathead Catfish

First of all, OHL is stupid. Second of all, if you'd like to see the video of this catch: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DjBRg0eFIyU . Me and @TennesseeTroutboy ...more were fishing around some shad balls where bass were smashing the shad. I chucked my roadrunner, got a hard strike and when I set the hook, it wouldn't come off the bottom. It was an epic 5-6min fight! (PS: the video has some foul language)

@TheGar I've had my 6935 for almost 8 years now and it is still as smooth as ever. Saltwater, freshwater, doesn't matter

Catching that bad boy on ultralight and 4 pound test, I bet it was a good long fight getting him off the bottom! Love my President reels, can't says enough bout ...more them 😎

  8. Details: Brown Trout

Struck out yesterday on the upper reaches of the Ogden River. I drifted midges along the skinny parts. Only had 1 bite but I had a 17" brown ram into my ankle ...more which hurt alot lol. I did get some pretty pictures though, including this one. It was beautiful out there with the trees turning yellow, orange, and red.

  9. Details: Smallmouth Bass

Nice 15" smallie I got out of the Little Harpeth yesterday. He rammed my craw in the center of a deep pool. I got 5 dragging the shakyhead craw along the bottom. ...more Key was to sweep your rod (or bring it over head, tree pending) slow enough to feel it tick the bottom while keeping your tip in a position to set the hook

It's been hot as balls this weekend in Nashville. A storm rolled threw and DROPPED the temperature to 90°. But there has been a good shallow jig bite through ...more it all, if you can find shade or get a cloud over you. All my fush were caught on a jig and my best 5 yesterday went for 9lbs. This 2.5lber and 2lber hit hard and made for a great day of fishing.
