Just made 5 of these gar lures for Saturday's fishing trip! Took around an hour to make these and still have about 5 more to make.

  Size 2 j hook. I'll probably cast and retrieve it but anyway will work! Hardest thing is getting the rope to melt to the hook right @USARetired

  What kind of hook are you using? You casting and retrieving, bouncing, jerking? Cool, cheap way to throw down a lure . Awesome.
