Very cold day my little brother trying to get in the pic haha this hog was caught deep off of timber and a slow steady retrive and I moved water quickly so I found ...more key spots to cast usually 2-4 feet outside of the timber so there Is no stick ups but you can still attract the fish that sit down deep in between the structure. This pattern I find gets me a ton of fish and nice sized ones too!!! 8 lbs

    This was at 2:00 on a warm but kinda cloudy day temp 74 degrees and water temp 67 degrees we were flipping heavy covered grass mats. We caught most of them on mats ...more with a canopy or opening under it.
