1. In honor of shark week, my black tip from last summer. It was the only thing we caught all day but this made for a fun fight making it all worth it.

    Blacktip Shark

    1. Geoffrey Polefko 0
What is the problem with keeping it if you are going to eat it. Plus shark is delicious.
    2. Geoffrey Polefko 0
@ea120454 you are allowed to keep sharks. And the point of shark week is to show people the beauty of sharks not to stop all the killings of sharks. Plus that shark ...more falls in the legal limits so

Caught him right off the edge at end of retrieve in some tall grass. Weighed in at 2.5lbs. Pond my friend and I found out in Rosenberg, doesn't look like it's ...more been fished before but you never know. My friend also caught a 4.5lber and we also had a good amount of 1-2lbers too all on the same rig.

    1. Tripp Cave 0
What lure did you use @zach74
  3. Details: Other Freshwater

Could anyone tell me what this is? Very narrow fish with lots of teeth. There were tons of these on the bank of a creek. Never seen anything like this fishing creeks.

    1. zach74 0
My friend took me their and we weren't the only people there. But I think you have to be a resident and his grandparents live there so we were allowed to @Fishing_Wolf
    2. Fishing_Wolf 0
do you fish that neighborhood a time all? I tried but they have signs saying it's illegal

  4. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Best all around bait cast rod

Hey guys. Getting a chronarch for Christmas and was wondering what a good rod is under 150 mostly using it for bass fishing but might take it inshore fishing every ...more once and a while

    1. SouthTXAngler 0
I'd personally go with a St.Croix rod. they're bad to the bone. and come with a limited warranty
    2. TennesseeTroutboy 0
      Abu Garcia Vengence 6'6 M
    3. King_Fisher 0
I like st. Croix a lot and ducketts also a great choice
    4. kp_fisher 0
I have a 7,6 falcon coastal Gx rod it has never failed me, landed some really big fish on it and it's not to expensive, around 90$
    5. Reel_Smooth 0
      Go with a HookSpit rod.

Hey guys, I like in Tanglewood in Houston, and was wondering if there's any good ponds that are close for bass fishing or if I have to go out to Katy. I don ...more mind going out there but rather have somewhere closer if there is any spots. Thanks

  6. Putting it on a falcon bucco and will be using it for some bass fishing too...basicly Abu vs shimano right now same price but leaning towards the Abu any input would ...more be nice

    Inshore Slam (trout/flounder/redfish) with a $$$

    1. jacob jacob 0
      Noooooo dont do abu!!!!!!!!
    2. cesarmedina5 0
Revo dude .. A reel is an investment get a good one .. Yes they're both really good but then again this is ll biased . But revo.. The bucoo well great choice ...more I have the same just the micro guides
    3. devron88 0
As far as rods go, with the new shimano crucials being debuted at icast all the old models are being sold dirt cheap. Definitely give them a look...
    4. willard22 0
      @zach74
    5. willard22 0
      Reds
    6. willard22 0
If u just go to academy or bass pro there are heavy duty bait casters for $20 don't waste your money on stuff that Is 200 dollars and get an ugly stick lite ...more for $40 best rod for trout and sturdy for
    7. zach74 0
      Alright @ReelGame

12 lb seaguar has never failed me once
    9. zach74 0
      @ReelGame
    10. zach74 0
Alright cool and what line do you have on he chronarch
    11. ReelGame Saucedo 0
The brown one is a Castaway 6'8" ML that is a beast I have my Chronarch 200E7 paired with it
    12. Reel_Smooth 0
I think he has it paired with the Chronarch for wading
    13. Reel_Smooth 0
@ReelGame which one is the brown one you have?
    14. zach74 0
Ok which rod of theirs...theres a few
    15. Reel_Smooth 0
That would be 6'6- 6'10. I would try and keep it ML under 7'
    16. Reel_Smooth 0
Get one mh, and a ml. If you like wading i would go with a 6'8 around there for free floating live bait, and soft plastics.
    17. zach74 0
      Which ones? @Reel_Smooth
    18. Reel_Smooth 0
For that price i would say go get two different all star rods
    19. zach74 0
      @AllWaterLife
    20. zach74 0
      Thanks I'll check it out
    21. AllWaterLife 0
The perfect all around rod IMO. By the way TFO=Temple Fork Outfitters. Just in case
    22. AllWaterLife 0
You're looking at the kind of rod that I just got then. TFO 7' ML. It's a beast of a rod. Only for 99.95 too. Can throw any 1/2+ oz a mile and it's ...more light enough to throw topwater on.
    23. zach74 0
Doing but the occasional red aswell
    24. zach74 0
@AllWaterLife trout is mainly what im
    25. zach74 0
      Ok
    26. AllWaterLife 0
Flexy tip but a solid backbone
    27. AllWaterLife 0
That's a specific deal then. Trout have very soft mouths so if you use a stiff rod, you'll rip the lure out during hookset. You could either go with a medium ...more rod or a rod that has a
    28. zach74 0
      reds and trout @AllWaterLife
    29. ReelGame Saucedo 0
All Star has a variety of excellent rods
    30. AllWaterLife 0
And if bass, it depends on what types of lures you'll usually be throwing.
    31. AllWaterLife 0
That's a little more tricky. It depends on what you're chasing. Reds, trout, bass?
    32. zach74 0
      @RexDelRey @YAKnAGGIE @devron88
    33. zach74 0
Thanks guys for all the input now i just need a good rod under $125...looking at the falcon bucoo but my eyes are open to anything @ReelGame @Reel_Smooth @MulletHead ...more @BrianScott @SwampMafia @AllWaterLife
    34. zach74 0
Thanks guys i think its settled...now anyone know any good rods under 12
    35. Nolan Yeager 0
      Best reels on the planet
    36. Nolan Yeager 0
      Shimano
    37. Gabe Mitchell 0
I'd go with the Shimano, personally preference
    38. Reel_Smooth 0
I love Abu, but i think that chronach is a monster of a reel for that price point. The only shimano reel i really want is a 200e7.
    39. Esgar Montalvo 0
I would go with Shimano, @zach74
    40. devron88 0
I've got 2 chronarch e6s and I love them. The new ci4 curado Is a thing of beauty and still in your price range... It all comes down to preference but for a ...more fact the chronarch holds up
    41. ReelGame Saucedo 0
Buy the Shimano first if it ever gives you problems then take it back and try the Abu but go with the 200E7
    42. zach74 0
      Alright @SwampMafia
    43. txbassin 0
      New curado i
    44. Swamp Mafia 0
I have not used either, but both have good reputations. I don't own a single Abu reel, but I own more shimano reels than I care to admit. 😜
    45. AllWaterLife 0
It's a good reel bro. Get the 200E7 and you will not be dissapointed.
    46. zach74 0
Ok @AllWaterLife i also have another rod for bass fishing but would use it on occasion
    47. AllWaterLife 0
th as butter. However, reeling in a bass feels like nothing so just know that it's at the high end of strength in low profile Baitcasters.
    48. AllWaterLife 0
Both good reels, I can tell from experience though that 1: shimano has awesome customer service and 2: you won't need it for that reel. It is a beast. I've ...more dunked it once or twice and it is still smoo
    49. gr82bstr8 0
I prefer the Abu....but can't go wrong with either.
    50. zach74 0
Alright I'll look into the smoke thanks for the input @Ratfish
    51. Ratfish 0
Both are great reels. I have used the sub and heard good things about the shimano. I recently got a quantum smoke, I like it better than the STX, and it's cheaper!
