1. Details: Gulf Flounder with a 1/4 ounce Rockport Rattler with a pink lil john

Tried a lot of different stuff. Had some other hits on pink. I have been off the Gulp lately due to durability issues. The clarity is back with the green water.

    1. Tyler 0
@TxFrenchy9 @makzymos @BigChance56 Yep, It's crazy the difference. The swimming mullet was my go to bait for a while.
    2. BigChance56 0
Thats marketing lol make it tear easier so they have to buy more packs and instead of spending $5 on gulp you spend $10 or more now every trip to the store @CroakerSmoker ...more @makzymos @TxFrenchy9
    3. Makz Jaramillo 0
The new formula to their lures sucksss major @CroakerSmoker tears up fast and melts easy in hot cars
    4. TxFrenchy9 0
I agree that he gulp have been having some issues with durability ... I could go through an entire pack in one trip if not two smh ..

  3. Details: Gulf Flounder with a 1/4 ounce Rockport Rattler. Yellow Lil John with green flakes.

Flounder from the Marina at my mom's new place. The people here are very cool and friendly. These guys fish here all the time. The bite heats up at night under ...more the lights. Working the bottom got this guy. Sharp movements with long pauses was a winner.

    1. drumbrothers 0
What apartments? My mom also lives in the area and has lights in her marina. The trout are biting.
  4. Details: Gulf Flounder with a Yellow little John on 1/4 ounce black Rockport Rattler.

Quick morning trip. I thought I was skunked. Overcast with outgoing tide. Switched to the black and yellow and boom. Two specks back to back, one small. Then the ...more flounder. No wind so I felt every bump. Killer sunrise worth going just for that.

  5. Details: Spotted (Speckled) Trout with a 1/4 ounce Norton jig head. Mirrorlure little john green with red flakes.

Trout are back in Clearlake. The water is cold which is concentrating the fish at the bottom. After work trip lost two and caught lots of undersized fish including ...more flounder.

    1. Tyler 0
@InshoreWrecker I really like the core. It absolutely blasts everything I've thrown with it. I give it a wipe down after using it and that has been fine.
    2. Kevin Le 0
How do you like your core? How do you clean it after every trip? I was thinking about picking up the 50 size core.
    3. Tyler 0
      @txfisherman713 @Casting22Major @Reel_Smooth Thanks guys!

  6. Details: Gulf Flounder with a 1/4 ounce jig head with a Tidal surge mullet.

Finally took my boat out. The bulkhead I fished is a steady producer. During summer it's very crowded. Troll that bulkhead until you get on them then ease the ...more anchor into the water so the fish don't spook. This place jams with good tidal movement. My buddy caught 4 specks too he was using shrimp.

    1. Casting22Major 0
      Solid n Sweet

    5. Tyler 0
@Lon85 @Reel_Smooth Thanks bros. @reelin_em_n There's not much by there. It's between the entrance to a marina and Clearlake. It's the end of the no ...more wake zone.
    6. reelin_em_n 0
I'm not quite sure where that bulkhead is, what does the surrounding area look like and what is near it? Also what color tidal surge mullet are you using? Nice ...more fish dude!

  7. Details: Gulf Flounder with a 1/4 ounce Rockport Rattler with tidal surge split tail in yellow glitter.

Water clarity is great. The three sharp twitches then pause did the trick. Caught many more and a red (rat). Two small flounder thrown back as well. They are still ...more responding to fast movements.Tried lots of other stuff too with no success. Left them biting.

    1. Tyler 0

  8. Details: Spotted (Speckled) Trout with a 1/4 red jig head. Matrix shad.

No flounder today. Water busting everywhere. Throwing around nervous water. Extra fast hook set because they were hitting it quick. No action until the tide change. ...more Outgoing tide then slack tide is when the bite turned on. Lots of small sandies too.

    1. Tyler 0
@sam_lynch I like it. It's got a lot of flex to it so you can feel the subtle bite of a flounder.
    2. sam_lynch 0
Thanks is it a good rod I'm thinking about getting one @CroakerSmoker
    3. Tyler 0
      @sam_lynch It's a Med-lite power moderate action.

  9. Details: Gulf Flounder with a 1/4 Pink Rockport Rattler with a pink gulp swimming mullet.

Pre-run action. All flounder were caught on pink. The north wind is getting them moving to deeper water. Lots of mud bank exposed because the tide is much lower. ...more This is good for flounder. Fish one hour caught 4 total with 2 keepers. Overcast with outgoing tide.

    15. Tyler 0
@teachbabyjay2fish I think it helps where visibility is low. I saw @GunnnerNewberry 's blerts with huge doormats using rattlers and started using them. They ...more are pricey though.
    16. teachbabyjay2fish 0
Do you notice a difference between rattling jig heads and the normal solid heads ? Do they produce more fish ?
    17. Tyler 0
@gr82bstr8 Thanks. I was wading and bank fishing.
    18. gr82bstr8 0
Nice! We're fishing off a boat/kayak or bank?
    19. Txfisherman713 R 0
It has its times... I seen what you were saying about the flounder being a lil deeper i could see them breaching the water but were deeper today.. Tide was super ...more low..
    20. Tyler 0
@txfisherman713 Thanks buddy. Seeing how you guys have been hammering them lately has been awesome.

  10. Details: Gulf Flounder with a 1/4 ounce jig head with green Matrix shad.

Outgoing tide with stiff NW wind has bait concentrated and fish holding in deeper chanels. Fast short twitches did the trick.
