If you were in buffalo bayou it could have been a bull shark
    3. Jacob Breaux 0
Could have been turtles too...sucks man. At least you figured out how to catch em
    4. paul paul 0
Gar definitely can do that. Seen them chomp a red right in half off my stringer on the pier. They love stealing trout too
    5. dieseldt 0
      Thanks for that info @9G3B
    6. 9G3B 0
I'd be careful with fish out of there Broseph the tpwd has set a consumption ban on buffalo bayou
    7. Laine Dillard 0
Gar can't do that damage to it gators would take the stringer and the fish that's turtle damage sure as the world
    8. ReelGame Saucedo 0
I have seen gators in that bayou
    9. Nolan Yeager 0
I'm speaking from experience and a gar can't do that kind of damage
    10. Nolan Yeager 0
      Gators probably
    11. kp_fisher 0
There's some big snapping turtles in there in some places
    12. dieseldt 0
Anybody know what else is in buffalo bayou? The only thing I can think of is a gar.
    13. dieseldt 0
Naw, I was ready to leave and pulled him up and he was half gone lol. I moved to another area and caught 4 more cats to make up for the loss @slatwater

Went to pull up a bass and snapped my rod tip on my vendetta, any fixes or should I just buy a new one?

    1. Hieu Lieu 0
Lol super glue? you won't get the flex in that area you glued. its best off taking the lost and get a new one
    2. dieseldt 0
It's about 3 months old @bassinboy01 gots scratches on it an all, doubt academy would do it looking like it does
    3. dieseldt 0
I was thinking something along that line @Ronshawver but I agree with @ChanceHuiet it ruins the sensitivity, I just took it as an L.
    4. Jacob Breaux 0
If you got it from academy they'll probably give you another one. Nothing you can do with that rod though. Sucks when it happens
    5. Ronshawver 0
Over the thread, I've had to do it many times!
    6. Ronshawver 0
Super glue it back on as straight as you can, then take regular thread(like you use to sew and rap it around the break as tight and close together as you can get ...more em, tie it off and put PVC cement over
    7. amassie 0
You can shave it down to the next eye and just have a shorter rod
    8. benski7 0
Call um up get a replacement there is no way to fix that
