1. Details: Spotted (Speckled) Trout with a Mirrodine

Caught this Monster Speck in 3 FOW sight fishing the flats of Burnt Mills Creek. He coasted past my kayak and I placed a mirrodine right in front of him and he slammed ...more it. Just barely got him netted before the line snapped. He measured out to be 23 inches which is my new PR for a Speck.

  2. Fished the docks and flats around Pretty Bayou when I caught him. Used a green mirrodine and let it slowly sink to the bottom then began a slow retrieve.

However, this fish has a mouth that does not protrude past the eye; a set of faint, exaggeratedly large blotches above the lateral line; and most importantly, faint ...more black lines on the white belly.

@RyanEllis @sutton_dole @LivewellHero this one's actually a Spot. All the easy definers are hidden in this pic, such as dorsal fins, tail, and tongue.

It's hard to tell but I think it's a large mouth with some funky colors. @sutton_dole @LivewellHero

How I tell is that usually there will be a line protruding from the top jawline and I follow that line and that line hits the eye right in the middle so I say spot ...more @LivewellHero

Well, I actually can't tell too well on this guy...

The other not as vibrant but at the top of the fish
    3. Sutton Dole 0
That's a spotted bass. Like a largemouth, expect their top jawline doesn't extend passed the center of the eye, fight harder, and hence the name have 2 rows ...more of spots on their back, one down the middle
