1. Details: Channel Catfish with a Hot dog

1/2oz slip weight with a #5 circle hook. He hammered the bait almost instantly. Weighed in a little over 5lbs. Put up a great fight running under the dock trying ...more to tangle me up! My girl put the net to him first tho!

Buddy caught this last night and sent it to me, he couldn't tell if it was a flathead or channel. I believe it to be a channel bc the fork tail. Which is it?

    Sailfish

    1. Nuzzo 0
Idk what he was using, he's not an experienced fishermen he was on a charter, I'm sure they supplied proper tackle. A 94" sailfish is gonna take some ...more time tho @YaknTX
    2. YakTX 0
It would take an hour if he's using light tackle... That's not a marlin

I had the same problem with my old koi pond. We had to put a net over it.. But who's gonna know if you shoot it?
    7. Cody Palmer 0
By law my grandfather couldn't sit on our drive drinking beer and shooting chimney sweeps with a 12 GA. as they flew out of our chimney either. No more chimney ...more sweeps though.
    8. Nuzzo 0
No I got koi fish in my pond @CalvinFease and I'm thinking a 12 gauge
    9. Calvin Fease 0
I've never had that problem. Is he trying to eat released fish, or ones on a stringer?
    10. Angler82 0
Try shooting an alka seltzer down its throat using a sling shot, good luck.
