1. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Olive wooly bugger

Caught tons of these little guys on the fly wading in the south concho river in Christoval Texas today. Strip strip stop pattern got it done this morning.

    1. Monster!
  2. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Jig

Got this guy and a 2nd place finish in the tournament bouncing a jig with a rage craw off rocks right below the water fall in the rip rap off to the side. Rip rap ...more can be a very effective place to fish for largemouth in the very warm summer months.

  3. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Spinnerbaits with a KVD perfect plastic trailer

Probably one of the luckiest catches of my life. I backlashed and was reeling it in so I didn't get hung and then all of the sudden this big momma took it. Reeling ...more it in pretty fast. Fishing a little lake right outside of Palestine Texas. Great clarity. Clearly a new personal best but didn't have a scale so I don't know the exact weight.

  5. Details: Hybrid Bass with a Swim jig

Had one hell of a day with elite outdoorsman out on Richland Chambers chasing hybrids and whites. Throwing swim jigs near the dam to Produce the hybrids.

  6. Details: Largemouth Bass with a C-Rigged Fluke

Not a big fish at all but first cast of the day with the C-Rig and this guy hit it. Great summer technique is to drag a C-Rig along the bottom. Target areas with ...more cover, cast to places where there are rock or work it by bridge pylons. C-Rigs are versatile and can be fished with many different lures and produce fish.

  7. Where are y'all's favorite spots to wade fish in the Galveston area for reds and specks? Also what are y'all's favorite lures to use?

Inshore Slam (trout/flounder/redfish) with a Galveston Wade Fishing

  8. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Summer Bass Lures for pressured waters

What are y'all's favorite bass lures of choice for waters that get a lot of pressure in the summer?

    1. Austin Buley 0
Slow down with some softplastics as @diggerman said. Smaller softplastics work well for me and make sure you find structure because fish that are under pressure ...more won't just be hanging around everywhere
    2. diggerman 0
      Soft plastic & SLOW DOWN.
    3. jokerman8029 0
It works fairly well for pressured fish, floating pink worm, with a 3/0 octopus hook, light lead, and making sure to use a palomar knot with a long tag end for your ...more weight.
    4. jokerman8029 0
Nothin beats a wacky rigged senko in 4in with green and purple flake. Even 5lbers will take small senkos. I use. Octopus hooks in 4/0 for wacky rigging. Also i like ...more drop shotting.
    5. Jacob Breaux 0
      Hags tornadoes tx rigged
    6. Calvin Fease 0
But won't get size in return. 6" BBZ-1s are my #1 choice, but paddletails like Jerry Ragos also work.
    7. Calvin Fease 0
From the bank, all my big bass are on swimbaits. I find that they'll hit every size up to about 6", which is where you start sacrificing numbers. Go above ...more 6" from the bank and you'll lose numbers...
    8. Calvin Fease 0
From the bank or on a boat? From a boat, 90% of my bass over 6# come on a flutter spoon. Work it off the bottom around deep points and ridges, tank dams or whatever ...more structure is around.
    9. the_amanator 0
Drop shot or weightless Texas rig
    10. crookcody19 0
Wacky rigged worm 4 or 5"
    11. eastonsutley 0
      Brush hogs
    12. Kev1107 0
      Wacky 4" finesse worms weightless
    13. ATLBassin 0
Dropshot 4.5 roboworm, wacky rig senko, also suprisingly swimbaits will work well because not a lot of people throw them and they're realistic
    14. jokerman8029 0
But I recommend the 4inch, i just use 6inch because thats what i have.
    15. jokerman8029 0
Definetly a senko, even the most pressured fish cant resist em, my favorite color that produces most for clear water is the 6inch green and purple flake. With a ...more 4/0 gamagatsu hook wacky rigged.
    16. David Fairchild 0
@walt_gober 2" Gamagatsu EWG on the weightless. Cremes 1/8th oz round jig head with Gamagatsu hook. Some time 1/16oz.
    17. David Fairchild 0
@texasredhunter He has my vote! When fish are pressured slow down and down size. I flat wear them out on a 4" zoom finesse worm. Both weedless and shakey head. ...more Also don't forget a weedless fluke.
    18. Jacob DeRamus 0
      Silent squarebills or senkos
    19. paul paul 0
Weightless worms or rigged shakey head and fished slow.

  9. Details: Other Freshwater with a Money

For those fly fishing scouters who might be going to London in the near future you will want to stop in Farlows. They tie some really cool flys (some that you can't ...more buy in the US) and gear. They are also the official store that Prince Charles buys his fishing gear from.

    1. Chuck LaBruna 0
...and maybe a few kernels of corn. That's really it. Again, laws are different over there and I certainly will not take anything away from them, I just feel ...more it's not necessary to get that complicated
    2. Chuck LaBruna 0
..you live. In the time it takes a UK carp fisherman to get everything he "needs" ready to go, we could already be catching. It's as simple a rig as ...more a strong rod, a few split shot, a bait holder hook
    3. Chuck LaBruna 0
..me to death is how overly complicated they make their carp fishing. It's insane. It's soo much preparation, from rigging to baiting. Too much going into ...more it. Carp are carp, no matter where
    4. Chuck LaBruna 0
I love all types of fishing, and keep in mind when I say this it is only an opinion and not meant to offend anyone in the UK. Yes, they do things a bit different ...more over there, but one thing that irks...
    5. walt_gober 0
Yeah it's really cool. Had a good time talking to one of the guys in there about the fishing in Texas. @mullethead
    6. Gabe Mitchell 0
Different type of anglers in the UK, love going to their tackle shops

  10. Details: Largemouth Bass with a BioSpawn ExoStick on a weighted hook

It's starting to get hotter and hotter in DFW and that means the water is warming. Fish are moving deep an to under bridges so that makes bridges a great place ...more to locate bass. Casting the ExoStick out to pylons and bouncing it off the bottom. Weighted hook is a great way to fish the ExoStick in deeper water because it lets it flutter down. 91 degrees and mostly cloudy.

      No problem man @brentp18

Ok thanks I've really been wanting to try out the trinity for a while now just didn't know where to go. @walt_gober
    3. walt_gober 0
Anywhere near downtown or the zoo really. Trinity park too. Where the clear fork meets the west fork. @brentp18
    4. brentp18 0
Where are the good places on the trinity? @walt_gober
    5. walt_gober 0
They are reinvented senko style baits made by a company called BioSpwan that I am on the pro staff for. @fishin_man
    6. jason felter 0
      Nice fish!
    7. jason felter 0
      What is a Exo stick?
    8. walt_gober 0
Bryant Irvin would be a good spot but it's just too shallow there to hold bass @preston
    9. Preston Allmand 0
      Thanks il check it out.
    10. walt_gober 0
If you're going to the trinity I would reccomend you go to the woodshed or trinty park. And yes texas rigs work great @PrestonA
    11. Preston Allmand 0
Nice, I'm planning on hitting the trinity this weekend near river park by Bryant Irving. Have any luck with Texas Rigs or soft plastics?
    12. walt_gober 0
Well I am on the pro staff for BioSpwn Lures and they send me lures and lately they have been crushing those things. @PrestonA
    13. Preston Allmand 0
Nice fish man, I fish dfw all the time, haven't tried the trinity too much yet, what do you have the most on luck on for bass?
    14. walt_gober 0
They're are better rods but for the price it is the best rod you can get. @AllWaterLife
    15. AllWaterLife 0
How do you like those shimano rods?
