Probably one of the luckiest catches of my life. I backlashed and was reeling it in so I didn't get hung and then all of the sudden this big momma took it. Reeling ...more it in pretty fast. Fishing a little lake right outside of Palestine Texas. Great clarity. Clearly a new personal best but didn't have a scale so I don't know the exact weight.

Not a big fish at all but first cast of the day with the C-Rig and this guy hit it. Great summer technique is to drag a C-Rig along the bottom. Target areas with ...more cover, cast to places where there are rock or work it by bridge pylons. C-Rigs are versatile and can be fished with many different lures and produce fish.

Slow down with some softplastics as @diggerman said. Smaller softplastics work well for me and make sure you find structure because fish that are under pressure ...more won't just be hanging around everywhere

Nothin beats a wacky rigged senko in 4in with green and purple flake. Even 5lbers will take small senkos. I use. Octopus hooks in 4/0 for wacky rigging. Also i like ...more drop shotting.

It's starting to get hotter and hotter in DFW and that means the water is warming. Fish are moving deep an to under bridges so that makes bridges a great place ...more to locate bass. Casting the ExoStick out to pylons and bouncing it off the bottom. Weighted hook is a great way to fish the ExoStick in deeper water because it lets it flutter down. 91 degrees and mostly cloudy.
