Northern Water snake I caught that was under a wooden board by a duck blind. He was missing most of his tail, but he still managed to bite me three times..lol. Was ...more released safely.

I haven't seen any of the rattlers yet, but I have seen plenty of corn and garter variety snakes. Even had one try to steal my bait.
    8. whitebass_81 0
Thanks for the heads up, wasn't Quite sure if it was no venomous snakes in this area of Wisconsin or Wisconsin as a whole so I just said in Wisconsin. @WormDrowner
    9. Bruce Sachtleben 0
Beyond the rattlers we have a pretty tame snake population up here, unlike down South where I spent most of my life.
    10. Bruce Sachtleben 0
One thing you are wrong on, we do have 2 species of poisonous snakes in Wisconsin. Both are rattlers so very easy to identify. http://dnr.wi.gov/eek/critter/reptile/snakes.htm
    11. whitebass_81 0
False, I often see water snakes going along the top. Slit pupils mean venomous, if you are willing to get close enough and you can tell sometimes by the different ...more patterns @itsmechrisshurtleff
    12. itsmechrisshurtleff 0
What's the best tell tale sign its a water snake vs. a moccasin? Head shape doesn't work for me. Someone recently told me body on the water=moccasin, body ...more swimming under water = water snake. True?
    13. whitebass_81 0
At first I thought it was a water moccasin but then I remembered there are no venomous snakes in Wisconsin so I grabbed it! Video games are a waste of time.. @JET1932
    14. Brian Flanagan 0
I have no doubt your crazy! I hope you can identify these snakes accurately! It's cool to see your living it up outdoors ....it's where great memories are ...more made, not sitting inside playing video games.
    15. whitebass_81 0
No venom no problem right? Haha @AllWaterLife
    16. AllWaterLife 0
Lol you are not scared of these snakes. I can see the blood on your hand.
    17. whitebass_81 0
      Thanks! @SwampMafia

  4. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Paddle tail Scum frog black and brown w/red flake, 10 lb. berkley mono flueger 6.4:1 gear ratio on a 6'7" MH AllStar rod

Very nice bass on the frog! Worked it over a hole In the weeds when there was a huge splash, gave it a second and set the hook. Fish 1 of 5 all were on frogs! Sunny ...more with 5 MPH winds and temps in the low 80's. Dark, stained shallow water and heavy weeds. Was hoping for a bowfin so I could get species #47 but had a hit from one and had another on that was pretty big but due to my drag it got off.

    1. whitebass_81 0
To make it look bigger than it is @carp98
    2. brandon pfile 0
y is it everyone's natural instinct to stretch bass towards the camera
    3. whitebass_81 0
      Don't worry @AllWaterLife
    4. AllWaterLife 0
Technically, yeah lol. Just don't do it
    5. whitebass_81 0
Don't worry, I won't that would be cheap. But in theory it would work right? lol. @MulletHead @AllWaterLife
    6. Gabe Mitchell 0
      @whitebass_81 exactly what @AllWaterLife said!
    7. AllWaterLife 0
Don't just spam posts. The whole point of that is to build the FS community by having people socialize a little more. Be friendly, you might make some friends ...more who know some things.
    8. whitebass_81 0
I noticed on the FS website it talks about stars on your profile, couldn't you just post like 5,000 comments on your own profile and get 5 stars? @MulletHead
    9. whitebass_81 0
Thanks, and I'll be scrolling through the questions thread a lot haha @MulletHead
    10. Gabe Mitchell 0
I've add you to a list of users to really evaluate during the next ProTeam review. Keep the info filled Blerts and comments coming!
    11. whitebass_81 0
That's what I'm going for, trying to earn my way up to pro. @AllWaterLife
    12. AllWaterLife 0
No problem. You can also email or just ask @MulletHead if we need any more moderators and he can promote you
    13. AllWaterLife 0
And idk if we need more moderators, but you can email or ask @MullettHead and he could promote you.
    14. whitebass_81 0
      Thank you @AllWaterLife
    15. AllWaterLife 0
Or a moderator. I've booked a couple of your blerts. Nearly all of them have good info. I'll be looking out a little more now!
    16. whitebass_81 0
Yeah I normally would've used heavier line but 10 lb. was all I had, thankfully it didn't run much @bassinboy01
    17. Jacob Breaux 0
braid for frogs and have broken it several times.
    18. Jacob Breaux 0
@whitebass_81 @redfisher98 Man 10lb mono in the areas I fish frogs is just asking for heartbreak! Lol. I've caught 30lb carp and 30"+ reds on 12lb mono, ...more but that's in open water. I use 50 or 65lb
    19. Jacob Breaux 0
Yea a staff member needs to see the blert to edit it and give it a book. We try to look at as many blerts as possible, but obviously can't look at them all.
    20. whitebass_81 0
      Thanks man @bassinboy01
    21. Jacob Breaux 0
Added it. Great info and fish
    22. whitebass_81 0
      Thanks @liamshay
    23. whitebass_81 0
Yeah I know that but several pro's have seen this post and it's sort of annoying @redfisher98 oh and btw it wasn't in the grass, my bad.
    24. liamshay 0
      Nice fish
    25. Jacob DeRamus 0
I think it's because a pro has to notice the blert and give it one. I was wondering the same thing. And wow that must have been some fight in the grass with ...more a 29" red!
    26. whitebass_81 0
Other posts have what pound line they were using and and how deep the water was and that's it and they get a book, not sure how this and a few others I've ...more posted have not.
    27. whitebass_81 0
      I did it with a 29" and I think with either 12 or 15, crazy fight!! @redfisher98
    28. Jacob DeRamus 0
I've done pretty much the same thing but with a 21" redfish and 12 lb mono
    29. whitebass_81 0
Haha thanks. 90 pound braid is unnecessary @redfisher98
    30. Jacob DeRamus 0
You did that on 10 lb mono!? That's amazing!
    31. whitebass_81 0
@bassinboy01 can you add Vernon marsh near Mukwonago WI
