    I know this looks like a nice Northern in the pic, but it was only 27.5" long! Sadly, this was the biggest one I caught all week long. It had absolutely choked ...more my custom vibrator jig and I had no pliers, so I had to remove it by hand and came out with my hand all bloodied up! A few minutes before, I had lost a Muskie around 40" because a jet-skier blitzed by my boat at exactly the wrong time.

    While still on vacation, I night fished at Manson and found all the bass to be stacked UP in the 2-8FOW range. The air temp was 37 degrees fahrenheit, but they ...more were still actively chasing baitfish. They were not interested in topwater, plastics, nor anything, save my custom chatterbaits. I am currently in the process of getting websites up-and-running, but I will be selling my plastics and jigs.

      Good catch, good info. We've caught 5 pike so far, but no pike. Biggest being 35" and I'm about to post a pic. Now I just want a big smallmouth on ultra ...more light! @CalvinFease

      One last note: I fished until 11:30 PM and from sunset to then, caught about 40 bass between 12" and 18". All we're EXTREMELY fat, showing how healthy ...more the northern Wisconsin fishery is.

    I took my cousin out fishing on Manson Lake (@bassinboy01 please add), and he hooked up with this monstrous 45" Muskie! I had him throwing my chatterbaits for ...more them because with the larger baits normally used, the Muskies may feed only once a day, whereas they won't hesitate to take a snack-sized chatterbait! It crushed his bait in 4FOW over a flat of cabbage grass, at 7:30 AM.

      If you want to fish Manson Lake, the best place to do it out of is called Shady Rest Lodge. Great service, awesome cabins, easy access to the lake via numerous docks, ...more boats, etc. Awesome place.
