Stealing the drum curse from @TennesseeTroutboy with this little guy. Smacked it like a bass when burning it through schools of shad. 3 keeper bass on the day, a ...more bluegill, this, and a couple of white bass within 4 hours. (Will post bass later). Fish are starting to school and boy is it crankbait season. Fish are smacking them andd not letting go. Workin it as fast as possible with some pauses ⬇️⬇️

    1. Mason Cizek 0
Clamped down on the crank. And the jerk sets the hook. Be sure not to horse fish in with cranks. lost a couple doing that today
    2. Mason Cizek 0
And some moments of intensely fast burning. They wont touch it if its slow. Once i pause its only for a second to let that fish get it in its mouth, then i jerk. ...more 70% of the time theres a fish clamed

Ok guys I need some help, I've narrowed down my choices to 2 different baitcasters for soft plastics. The revo STX or the SX. Does the dual breaking system really ...more make a difference in the STX? Or should I save some money and get the SX? Thanks guys

    1. MusicCityBass 0
@wyldechylde77 will you please tell him to just buy a black max. He wants jump from the bottom level of baitcasting reels straight up to a Revo STX. All he needs ...more is a black max
    2. TennesseeTroutboy 0
      I second the motion @MusicCityBass
    3. MusicCityBass 0
GET A BLACK MAX MY GOODNESS
    4. Lunk_Lifestyle 0
Oh yeah and @eastonsutley has an SX and @wyldechylde77 has an STX
    5. Lunk_Lifestyle 0
Gonna get a winch for cranking
    6. Lunk_Lifestyle 0
Both amazing but stx only 40 dollar increase one more bearing, Eva foam grips, a lot lighter, and smoother. I was gonna get the stx but I am gonna save and get an ...more MGX. I love my Revo s and soon I am

Anything helps! Also, has to be baitcasting.

    1. Peyton Dalatri 0
      Shimano curado no doubt
    2. TennesseeTroutboy 0
the curado Is a great plastics reel and can cast light very far and I don't like shimano but this is a very good reel
    3. htgaddis 0
      Had almost*
    4. htgaddis 0
I have had more than 50 back lashes out of my lews and they weren't even bad back lashes and iv had it for almost a year now
    5. htgaddis 0
Lews tournament mg great reels for just $130
    6. Mason Cizek 0
Im not starting... I've used my pflueger and an SX for a little bit. Nearly 0 backlashes and nothing to terrible. Not gonna get a curado, not to much a fan of ...more Shimano. Leaning toward a revo SX @TennesseeTroutboy
    7. TennesseeTroutboy 0
mason you need to start out with a black max but if you want to Jump right into the backlashes then get a curado
    8. Jimmy_Lynch 0
      Revo SX or Curado I
    9. Chuck LaBruna 0
Mason, I can tell you from experience to with a St. Croix Mojo Bass Rod, specifically set up for soft plastics. For reel, go with an Abu Garcia Revo SX or STX. Spool ...more it with 14lb fluoro, an good to go
    10. Bass Angler 0
I would say maybe a silvermax or a revo s
    11. bridgerblack 0
Get a Abu Garcia black max I have one it works great
    12. Mason Cizek 0
More of an Abu guy. Was looking at lews and Daiwa, I'll take a more in depth look at Shimano tho. @thereeldeal
    13. Andrew Alonzo 0
of your a shimano guy i would think a citica, a daiwa lexa maybe and ive heard great things about the lews speed spool
    14. Mason Cizek 0
      Just the reel. @Thereeldeal
    15. Andrew Alonzo 0
did you want the whole combo under 150 or just the reel? @Mason_Cizek
    16. Mason Cizek 0
I was leaning more towards an revo SX... @TennesseeTroutboy
    17. TennesseeTroutboy 0

Well I know where I'm never fishing again. I believe this is a wolf spider, a huge one. The leaf next to it was 2.5 inches. Scared the fire out of me, barely ...more had the courage to take the picture. Venomous but a non-lethal bite, still not taking any chances.

    1. 1lastkast 0

    8. Mason Cizek 0

Ya I agree with @DMyeWNY looks like a water spider.
    11. Mason Cizek 0
Just looked it up, all I could come up with was more wolf spiders. Apparently their eyes shine when lights is on them, and they can walk on water. I think that might ...more have been what you saw? @DMyeWNY
    12. Donald Myers 0
It looked exactly like a wolf spider but it was really big
    13. Donald Myers 0

    19. whitebass_81 0
All that panic but and you decided to measure the leaf.
    20. Collin Collin 0
Wolf spiders are pretty much harmless as far as I'm concerned. I find them in my house and patio from time to time and have never been bitten haha. Pretty docile ...more arachnids
    21. Mason Cizek 0
