It's time to fish! Hit the beach this morning looking for early season bull reds. No luck with them but did pickup a few whiting. Not a single hardhead, makes ...more any day a success.

Stomach contents of two slot reds caught with @MulletHead. Encouraging to see the jig head being tolerated comfortably.
Hit Surfside Sunday morning with the family. Conditions were spectacular. Water was clear green everywhere, light wind, tiny amount of that clear seaweed. Bait ...more was very scarce. Still was able to find mullet schools cruising through. Launched a finger mullet between second and third gut. Soon as I sat down the pole was horizontal and line flying. Was too late though, line snapped 😢
Out at Surfside near beach access #5 (good spot because close to cell tower). Water color and clarity are good. Waves are a little high but easily fish able. ...more Been soaking cast-net-caught mullet in second gut. No takers so far but I'm confident. Water looks so good.
Surf looks pretty decent. No weed. Water color is reasonably greenish, blueish water about 500 yds out. Strangely the water temp feels much cooler than normal ...more for July. Not seeing any mullet which is weird.

Went after flatheads tonight with free-lined live perch and a night crawler pole just for fun. Water is super muddy with all the rain, but there was still activity. ...more Got broken off on the night crawler pole, probably a gar, and @MulletHead had a couple good pulls, nothing landed though. Guys fishing nearby said a 30lber was caught earlier in the day. Next time!
View of the surf at 11am. Water is brown but plenty of bait in the water. Soaked mullet all morning in the first and second hit without any takers. Never seen ...more this before but there is grass, as in Bermuda and field grass, as all in the water. Makes for some tough fishing. Good luck to everyone and thanks for organizing @bassinboy

Amazing day!!! First ever blue water trip without a guide. Started the day at SE lump just seven miles or so out of the Freeport jetties. We were told the Kings ...more were active and sure enough hooked up within 15 min. Water was beautiful blue and clear. Headed out another eight miles or so to a group of rigs and started dropping cut bait.. Snaps were all over it. With @MulletHead at the helm!

Water looking good, maybe a little muddy. Lots of bait activity and birds. Waiting on a big pull!
