First "top water" fish, I'm hooked. It still hits 85 durning the days so the fishing is slow. I have thrown a popper one other time with no luck, but ...more after watching bass look at worms and jigs I knew what to throw when the sun went down. Had two blows ups and one which was much bigger than this dink. If you guys have any tips please leave a comment

Weather was clear, 70 degrees little wind. Tons of activity around the pond. Had no luck with anything else, tossed the worm out and she hit when as it was sinking. ...more Good fight but this fish was not as heathy as preferred. The pond I fished today is over fished and most likely overstocked. Planning on moving a few bass from this pond to a bigger one which has doesn't have bass

The ecosystem on the other pond is tons of sunfish/bluegill and catfish

don't because it could ruin the ecosystem for the other pond.

Just a look at the fishing hole we fished, water ranged from 2-7ish feet and the bass were very active thought out the whole day. It was around 95 degrees out side ...more and the water was warm. I waded in and caught some bass from under the log in standing on and the I got on it and tossed my worm down stream. Best summer fishing experience so far.

Same location as last bass caught, nothing beats watching them take your worm and makes setting the hook a lot easier. All fish were caught on Night hawk 6 foot ...more pole using a Diawa Laguna 7:1:3 reel

To start, this bass was caught on the Sabinal River, in Utopia, Texas which is just about 25 miles SE of Leaky where most of my fishing on the Frio has been done. ...more I have been skunked recently at the local ponds but a nice trip to the Sabinal saved me. I caught 15 bass this being the biggest. A few more blurts to come with more info

River bass are more beautiful no doubt. This little one hit the wacky worm just as it landed between two logs. Caught tons of little 8 inch bass like this. Also ...more caught on Shakespeare spinning reel combo. The Frio River gets it name for the cold water, Frio is cold in Spanish. Water was cold and It was cloudy on this day. Caught around 9 am

This was the biggest of a few days at the river, great trip, nothing better than watching the bass hit your lure in the Crystal clear river. Kinda makes it more ...more exciting too. This bass was hiding between weeds in a deep pool and paying little attention to anything. Finally the live crawdad did the trick. Caught on Shakespeare spinning rod & reel combo, water was cold caught around 10:30 PM
