1. Near slick seas at the end of the Surfside jetty. The wind was out of the north in the early morning but transitioned to southeast before 10am. I was tossing the ...more lure over large schools of mullet and retrieving at a fairly swift pace. The Jacks hit the lure and it feels like you are snagged for a split second, then the fight begins.

  2. Details: Gray Triggerfish

Free lining cut ballyhoo on the Gulf side of the barrier reef worked well. The boat caught about ten of these triggers in the span of 25 minutes

  3. Details: Strawberry Grouper

We used a down rigger to get the bait to the bottom and then let it drift. There were multiple small storms in the area making conditions a little less than favorable. ...more May also be known as a Red Hind Grouper.

  10. Details: Cobia (Ling) with a 18" ribbon fish on a king mackerel rig.

Slow trolling 100 yards away from a rig off Mustang island around midday. Just before the Cobia hit I watched two king mackerel race by me in a wave. I turned to ...more watch them and realized that my line seemed to be stuck on the bottom. I grabbed my pole and gave it a solid tug and to my suprise the reel started screaming! This 30" gave several 20-50 yard runs. Posed for the picture and released
