1. Hey dudes, I fished the area east of festival beach such as near the island, dam, festival beach, and all around the wide part of the lake with no luck yesterday ...more whereas if been doing great near redbud and near the Congress/ mopac bridges. My question is does anybody like this portion of the lake for big bass? I've had a few small ones near festival beach and some whites. Please advise!!

Good info. Thanks all! I'll likely give it another try, if not just for the fact that there is much less traffic there. Just me and a sailboat all aft.

I've seen many big bass taken out of this area. It fishes differently then other areas. Just got it out time on the water and figure it out.

I don't like that part of the lake unless it windy. This is the only part of the lake that I can fish wind blown banks. But it is more stained and less cover ...more then the rest of the lake meaning less fis

Thanks @michang5 the location feature confirmed what I've found, much fewer purple dots in that wide portion of the lake. Could be due to just less folks fishing ...more there but I think there are less fish

I've seen several good fish caught out of that area -- particularly near the park and cove. Use the Location feature on this app and see pinned blerts. There ...more are quite a few purple pins.

Yes I have had great luck around Redbud. I am wondering if others out there have also not done as well on the section east of 35. Water clarity and lack of grass ...more I suspect is the reason why it sucks

  2. Caught this appox. 3lb bass on a bladed jig bouncing and raise/dropping it along the bottom in about 5-7 ft of water over near the SRV statue. This was last night ...more right before it started raining. Looks like the fish are hitting a variety of baits lately.

  3. Got this one on a little deeper diving and suspending jerkbait. Also caught a few off of a rattle trap. Very dark coloring on this fish. Odd.

  4. Hey FishingSkout folks. Caught this 22" LM bass on a jerkbait mid aft. Over about 15 feet of water but it hit near the surface above a submerged tree. My ...more scale had some issues so I only got a pic and length. Guessing about 6.5 lbs. I'd like to find out what spots and lures have been producing lately. I'm seeing jerkbaits and traps working.

Nothing has worked since the floods. It'll pick up this week though 4 show. Water slowly clearing up. Plastics work well this time of year.
