1. Caught this 15.5" trout using live shrimp. Slow day but weather was nice. Lots of sun and temp was probably in the mid 70s with northwest wind about 5-10 mph.

  4. Details: Spotted (Speckled) Trout with a Live shrimp

Went to Texas City Dike and fish the end with live shrimp and caught this one trout that went for 20.5".

  5. Details: Spotted (Speckled) Trout with a Live shrimp under floater

Decided on a last min trip to Texas City Dike with a buddy last night and only managed a 20.5" trout. First time fishing there and the wind wasn't blowing ...more but the current was too much for a floater.

  6. Went fishing with the parents on 4th of July. Caught a total of 35 smacks and a pompano at surfside jetties. Water was really clean and the wind was to a minimum ...more till the afternoon time. I used live shrimp and cut mullet for the smacks.

@b0okevin Precite the tip I never tried all the way down towards the end...

You also have to watch the water clarity/color. Smacks and kings loves the cleaner water
    4. b0okevin 0
@Nvchx I go out to where the concrete breaks off. When fishing for smacks I tie about a 7ft leader under a popping cork with a good 2-3 inch wire leader.

@IronTexas we fish right after the broken cement. I hate going on weekends cause of the crowd.
