Went fishing with the parents on 4th of July. Caught a total of 35 smacks and a pompano at surfside jetties. Water was really clean and the wind was to a minimum till the afternoon time. I used live shrimp and cut mullet for the smacks.

      You also have to watch the water clarity/color. Smacks and kings loves the cleaner water

      @Nvchx I go out to where the concrete breaks off. When fishing for smacks I tie about a 7ft leader under a popping cork with a good 2-3 inch wire leader.
