1. Details: Largemouth Bass

Fishing was on fire today, with all the flooding still going on, the water was still moving into the ponds, and the fish were stacked along the current. Slowly fishing ...more worms was the key, and every cast we were getting bit. Caught around 25 fish averaging about 3 1/2 pounds, and 5 fish over 5 1/2 pounds.

    6. TxFishing13 0
What's lurking down there. You can also park in a dead end road in the neighborhood right next to it. @fish_and_hunt
    7. TxFishing13 0
I park in the parking lot that the sonic and Popeyes is in and walk. You can catch fish at every corner so it doesn't matter which part you fish. I know at some ...more spots it's 80 feet deep so who knows
    8. fish_and_hunt 0
How do you get in then? @TxFishing13
    9. TxFishing13 0
@fish_and_hunt I'm not exactly sure I know it is being made into a county park and hasn't been full of water for too long. It's a good spot that is unknown. ...more It's gated off and isn't fished very much.
    10. fish_and_hunt 0
Thanks for the info. I'll have to give it a try. It's somewhat new right? @TxFishing13
    11. TxFishing13 0
@fish_and_hunt yep. You can't miss it it's huge. It's a nice crappie and catfish spot also.
    12. fish_and_hunt 0
The lake across from lonestar? @TxFishing13
    13. TxFishing13 0
And sometimes bridge lands. I mainly fish for bass and crappie.
    14. TxFishing13 0
@fish_and_hunt There is a old quarry off of barker cypress and west road that has some giant bass in it. I've seen a 12 lber caught there. I fish there and a ...more couple different golf courses in cypress
    15. fish_and_hunt 0
What ponds do you fish? @TxFishing13
    16. TxFishing13 0

If you want to catch some bass, go down mason road from 290. Then right before the rec on the right there is a pond with a waterfall, those ponds used to have some ...more BIG bass, but now they are all 1-2lb
    19. fish_and_hunt 0
If you have patience and work around the pond with a rooster tail, you can pick up a couple bass and crappie. The biggest crappie I've seen came from there. ...more It was around 4 pounds
    20. TxFishing13 0
@fish_and_hunt Thats what I thought I pass that pond everyday on the way to work. Any Bass or Crappie in there?
    21. fish_and_hunt 0
      Fairfield. @TxFishing13
    22. TxFishing13 0
Nice catch man. What neighborhood do you run your jugs in?
    23. Swamp Mafia 0
Cool! I have always joked about setting a lot of jugs in a small pond, just to see what's in there.
    24. fish_and_hunt 0
Then we set out 12 of them. We ended up catching 2 gar and a dozen cats (no size on them). @SwampMafia
    25. fish_and_hunt 0
Flats Stalker with a trolling motor on the back. We didnt plan on running jugs, but we had abunch if extra water bottles so we tied on about 9 feet of 30lb line ...more and attached a hook.
    26. Swamp Mafia 0
What kind of boat are you using? How do you have your jugs rigged?
