  2. Details: Largemouth Bass

Made it out to Medina on Wednesday before the cold front. Ran the buzzbait over brush and stick ups and they were killing it. Had over 20 for the day, mostly between ...more 9 and 2, around a pound. Surprised they were so agressive in the middle of the day.

  3. last night my little sister caught her new personal best (with a little help from her brother). Weighed around 2 pounds.

  4. Ultralight rod made this two pounder a workout. Other than that, live bait on a lighted dock, nothing special. Probably my last bass of this week long vacation.

  5. Actually got this guy last night, but this blert is more about the 7 pounder I lost this morning. I was fishing a buzzbait in 5 fow over some submerged grass, she ...more grabbed it, came up to let me see her, then shook it out of her mouth. Would've been my personal best. So upsetting. I really need to work on hooksets.

Largemouth Bass with a 1/4 Oz white buzzbait

  6. Fishing along a string of docks in the Colorado River above lake LBJ. Hardly a hit from the docks themselves but got this guy along some rip-rap between them. Biggest ...more guad I've caught.

Guadalupe Bass with a Inch long shallow diving crankbait, chartreuse and black. Dives around 2 feet.

  9. Details: Bluegill Sunfish with a Homemade topwater

First attempt at making a lure, I think it turned out alright. Made from a wine cork and the feathers of a bird I shot, painted with some "borrowed" nail ...more polish from my sister. Intended for large sunfish and small bass.

  10. Details: Blue Catfish with a octopus

Just reminiscing on this catch from a couple years ago. I believe we were using octopus on a Carolina rig with a 3/0, maybe 4/0 kahle hook, drifting along in 20fow ...more to the left of the wall (facing it), back near the train tracks. Both us and the boat got slimed up pretty bad. She was then released.

    1. Christian Somerville 0
Unfortunately no. At least 36 inches. Maybe 40. It's been a long time.

That thing has a gut... 7-10 lbs? Not enough perspective, did you get a length?

And if anyone can give me an estimated weight, that would be great. I'm not exactly familiar with bigger cats, so I'd just be guessing.
