      Abu Garcia is a great reel I have had one for over 10 years now and still looks and feels new. Also got a black max about a year back and I love it.

      Never gave me problems and still haven't replaced anything on it. Just rinse it after every use, and open it up once or twice a year to clean and lube correctly

      I agree with @CalvinFease Abu is the best way to go for the money in my opinion. I've had a 5600 for over 6 or 7 years and it still gets the job done! Also take ...more it offshore with me when i go, and

      And I suppose a better definition would be clicking. The Shimanos click very subtly as you reel them in. Maybe 64 clicks/rotation. Feels good while burning stuff, ...more but I fish slow, so it annoys me.

      Another option would be buying a less expensive reel ($50-80) and having a reel repair shop super tune it. Cost $20-30 and make the reel perform like a high end ...more reel.

      @Hooksetter97 You're entitled your opinion, but I'll be with Abu. They are the BOMB!!!! Everything from the $50 Black Max all the way up to the $500 MGXtreme ...more beats everything in their price range IMO.
