    First Tiger of the year. Fishing was horrible and freezing. Had only caught one bluegill in half an hour and was already thinking about leaving. Caught Muskie and ...more kayak fished for another 3 hours. Only caught 7 fish. Had snowed night before trip and is snowing again right now .

    Work is winding down so I’ve been working on improving fish habitat at pond where I work. Wrapped a number of pallets with deer fencing to provide safe places for ...more minnows to spawn. Boy Scouts placed 10 homemade artificial trees in and I’m going to wrap last one with fencing for minnows. Built rock piles with cinder blocks and pavers. Going to put in sand and gravel areas for spawning beds.

    Breaking through the ice with kayak today. Half the lake was covered with ice. Only one small largemouth bass. Beautiful evening.

    Tiger!!! It’s been far too long since I caught a Musky. Smallest one I’ve ever caught but still a thrill. Managed to lose a monster bass on cast before catching ...more Tiger. Thought I still had it in 50 pounds of weeds I reeled in but he was gone.

    🦨 arrived at lake there was more ice than expected. Was able to battle kayak through ice out to open water. Areas where I’ve been catching fish were all ice covered. ...more Didn’t get a hit. Done with lake fishing for the year. Back to river fishing. 🦨
