  4. Details: Northern Pike with a Black tube with with purple and gold flake on a 1/4 oz tube jighead with a rattle

This pike was about 30" and 8lbs. I would have landed the fish, but the guys boat we were on didn't want the pike slime on the carpet of his bass boat, ...more so we took pics in the water and shook it off on the side of the boat. We were fishing along reeds and cat tails. In front of them it was 3 FOW but it quickly dropped off to 10 FOW. The key to getting fish was to pitch the tube in the reeds and...

@hillbillyDeluxe yeah I agree. How can you go fishing and not expect to get dirty or slimy? I really wanted a picture too considering it was my biggest or second ...more biggest pike.

It was very windy at 15 mph but there were gusts of 20-25 mph. The water was also a little dirty in the area we were fishing. The fish were concentrated in pockets ...more and coves of the reeds.
    8. ChrisA 0
Pop it and let it sink. Once the bait was out away from the reeds we would reel the tube in so we didn't waste time fishing an area with less of a concentration ...more of fish. Conditions were hot at 85*

  5. Details: Smallmouth Bass with a Dropshotting two hooks with minnows about 18" and 24" above a 3/4 oz sinker. Pflueger trion reel lined with 8lb trilene xt.

First nice fish on the Black river this year. This was caught at about 7:00 pm. The air temperature was only about 55* and it's the coldest it has been all week. ...more The water was pretty clear for the area and moving fast. This was caught in around 10 FOW where a canal meets the Black River. Now it's time to wait for it to warm up and have the smallmouth move into the rivers and spawn.

    10 good eaters

  7. Details: Green Sturgeon with a 1 oz jig and minnow

      Awesome catch!
  8. Details: Red Horse Sucker with a Earth worm on a small red circle hook. 3/4 oz sinker, 8 lb trilene xt line, pflueger trion reel.

The suckers have started moving into the rivers to spawn. The cold front and overcast weather really slowed down the fishing and this ended up being the only good ...more sized one of the day. I cast out past the middle of the river and slowly twitched the worm back and it got hit. 45* out, windy, very murky water, caught at about 8:00 pm. The key is to find structure and and fish around it.

  9. Details: Walleye with a Crawler harness

    Good day trolling
