This pike was about 30" and 8lbs. I would have landed the fish, but the guys boat we were on didn't want the pike slime on the carpet of his bass boat, so we took pics in the water and shook it off on the side of the boat. We were fishing along reeds and cat tails. In front of them it was 3 FOW but it quickly dropped off to 10 FOW. The key to getting fish was to pitch the tube in the reeds and...

      It was very windy at 15 mph but there were gusts of 20-25 mph. The water was also a little dirty in the area we were fishing. The fish were concentrated in pockets ...more and coves of the reeds.

      Pop it and let it sink. Once the bait was out away from the reeds we would reel the tube in so we didn't waste time fishing an area with less of a concentration ...more of fish. Conditions were hot at 85*
