  4. Details: Largemouth Bass

After a long day of fishing, my 3 buddies all had caught huge bass except for me. Saw this guy leap ontop of some lillypads so I threw my salamander over him. He ...more took it and when I saw inside his mouth he had a hook already in his stomach. Catch and release. He measured 17inches.

6pm woke up from a nap and went back out after a day of no catches. Threw out my rooster tail and slowly trolled at a depth of about 25ft. What a fun fight this ...more guy put up. I clearly didn't know how to hold him since it was my first trout ever! Love fishing.

Thanks for all the input everyone!

In the fall I like to use stuff that mimics a baitfish like a spinnerbait
    3. nick vojtek 0
Rattle traps ripped across the top of grass and weeds. And white spinner baits and flukes.
    4. Cody Palmer 0
Worms, etc. I'm a power fisherman but find what depth the fish are and find what they want. It'll definitely produce some fish for you!
    5. Cody Palmer 0
@CalvinFease nailed it on the head. Fish are moving up chasing to get ready for winter. I'll start the day with top water, spinnerbaits, flukes, etc then once ...more the sun gets up, swap to Crankbaits, jigs
    6. Dave Impagliazzo 0
Difference is you want to use big baits. The fish are looking for a big easy meal to get good and fat before the ponds around here start to freeze. The fall bite ...more is already big around here
    7. Dave Impagliazzo 0
I'll tell you what because I'm in your area just fish the situation like you normally would. If its deep water try a football jig or drop shot and if its ...more shallow use a senko or top water. The only

      Good luck!
    9. tdtech 0
Thanks! @CalvinFease the lake I'm going to has a little of everything. Hopefully me and @bigriggatony will have some luck

In my opinion, the biggest key to this time of year is finding good structure leading into coves/creeks. If you can find this, you've found the bass.
    11. Calvin Fease 0
Shallower, I like to fish senkos, chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, and swimbaits. If you can find grass on a prime piece of structure, all this stuff will work magic.
    12. Calvin Fease 0
Since they're normally pretty active at this time, you can speed up or use bigger baits. Slow finesse stuff like drop-shots will normally be out produced by ...more big crankbaits, jigs, or spoons out deep.
    13. Calvin Fease 0
I try to focus on mainlake points and creek channels. If a channel swings past a point, the bass are going to be there. As for depth, anything between 3' and ...more 30' can produce, but I like to stay in 12.
    14. Calvin Fease 0
Summer/Fall transition can be either really easy or really hard because the bass are beginning to migrate to the backs of creeks to feed up for the winter, so they ...more school up and are frequently moving.
    15. Yank313 0
fall time u can fish anything cuz the bass feeding heavy for winter and prespawn staging
    16. wnwsurf 0
Been getting a lot of 18-25" stripers on sand worms at most of the beaches here for the last month. Past week or so we started getting into the bigger ones. ...more Top water has been working this week too.
    17. Austin Buley 0
I do good with watermelon red finesse worms, fished weightless or Texas rigged.
