After a long day of fishing, my 3 buddies all had caught huge bass except for me. Saw this guy leap ontop of some lillypads so I threw my salamander over him. He ...more took it and when I saw inside his mouth he had a hook already in his stomach. Catch and release. He measured 17inches.

6pm woke up from a nap and went back out after a day of no catches. Threw out my rooster tail and slowly trolled at a depth of about 25ft. What a fun fight this ...more guy put up. I clearly didn't know how to hold him since it was my first trout ever! Love fishing.

In my opinion, the biggest key to this time of year is finding good structure leading into coves/creeks. If you can find this, you've found the bass.

Shallower, I like to fish senkos, chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, and swimbaits. If you can find grass on a prime piece of structure, all this stuff will work magic.
