    Started the day on the flats and the water was dirty and couldn't buy a bite so moved into deeper water and fished some docks as the tide was falling and caught ...more some nice over slots dragging the mud minnows slowly across the bottom in 20' of water.

    Finding deep pockets on bends in the creeks is one of the keys to picking off trout here in Charleston in the winter months. Letting the vudu drift with the current ...more on the bottom with a few twitches every few seconds.

    Finally got back out on the water today. We were fishing the flats on the outgoing tide looking for reds when we got into the unexpected trout bite. Shrimp were ...more all over today and the trout were thick on the flats so choose to free line the trusty ol DOA, slowly bouncing it off the bottom letting it drift with the current.

      Any mouths of small creeks or flats you can find. Water temp is dropping and not much bait around. I have heard of some nice bulls being caught off the beach also ...more and the pier
