Finally got back out on the water today. We were fishing the flats on the outgoing tide looking for reds when we got into the unexpected trout bite. Shrimp were all over today and the trout were thick on the flats so choose to free line the trusty ol DOA, slowly bouncing it off the bottom letting it drift with the current.
