Family friend of ours caught this two weeks ago on the Gunnison river outside Crested Butte, CO. Best story, he caught a 10inch trout and was working it in when this monster clobbered it. Not sure of this fish broke any records, I'll update when I find out. The fly fishing during the hatch on the Gunnison was so fun this year, water levels were on point and wasn't too murky.

      No way. That's insane. Moving the crested butte in December and pumped for the trout fishing

      I'm not sure either I went crazy when I caught my 21 incher I almost went crazy when I a 16 inch cutty was rising to my dry fly and the 10 inch stocker trout ...more get taken by stripers on the guad it sound

      I would go crazy seeing it hit a trout was already reeling in and then hooking it! I don't know how this guy kept his cool @flybob

      That's a BEAST!! It's a Cutbow (hybrid cutthroat-rainbow trout), not a Spotted (speckled) trout. And I'll be honest, prolly the biggest Cutbow I've ...more ever seen! Nice job!
