  They're knife fish, they live in caves and holes. They back in and dart out. They fight pretty good too. What canal system did you catch it in?

  All eels are fish. In fact, another family of fish closely related to eels are tarpon and ladyfish.

  Fun fish fact: those are actually closely related to Electric Eels, which as it turns out, aren't eels at all, but members of the knifefish family!
