      At the right time of the year with the right rigs you can get on beds in deep water you can catch 1lb bluegill almost consistently and usually get several 2+lb shellys

      Dang! I've always caught small 3-4inch sunfish for gar and catfish bait. And then one night, just fishing for bass, and this giant guy hits. But consistent 1+lb

      Ok we catch 1+lb gills and shellcrackers all the time here on bass gear I think the biggest hook I have seen one get was a 3/0 jig the gill was about 3/4lb

    Holy crap, never in my life have I ever caught a sunfish anywhere near the size of this one. He started pulling my drag as if he were a bass!! Got him to the shore ...more and I was in complete shock!! I wear a size 12 shoe, and he was just shy of it. He was one thick and heavy boy too. Caught at my local pond and successfully completed a safe release so he can swim another day.

    Details: Red (redfish) Drum with a Live shad

    Slooooooooooow day, but one is better than none. My first freshwater redfish. Caught it using slip bobber and bobber stopper set at about 8ft with live shad hooked ...more through the upper lip.

      That sounds like fun minus the wind lol last time I was there it was pretty windy but the stripers where biting pretty good and I had some good runs from reds but ...more never hooked em

    Details: Largemouth Bass with a Live minnow

    Good size bass, about 1 to 1 and half pounds if I had to guess. Really good for this body of water. Had a jug line set with a live minnow hooked in the lip and he ...more engulfed it. Jug went down for about 8 seconds before poping up about 10 ft away. Also caught 3 other bass which all weighed about 1/2 lb on my rod and reel.
