1. Wade fishing in the bay, fishing a muddy gut with scattered shell in about 4 fow. Got into a school of good 16-18" trout and that big girl slammed my DSL. She ...more weighed 7.05lbs and was 28" long. My new personal best!!

I would have otherwise released her and don't like to keep em that big.
    4. HobieQuiped 0
Clearly not released. Kept her for the CCA star tourney weigh in and come to find out the minimum for specs in the adult division was 8lbs. So she was actually shy ...more a pound. Othe

Nice! Was the top one released?

  2. Hit a few fav hot spots with @saltynutz and had to put in some serious work. Only hit a flounder and the larger red on an outgoing tide, 10-15 winds, and bluffing ...more rain at first spot. We decided to ignore the weather warnings and tough it out at another spot. Wind was ripping at 25+ and raining sideways. Hit sub grass beds slowly working the holes between beds. A little pain for a little gain.

  3. Headed out Saturday mornin. Arrived at super high tide, hard blowing NNE winds, about 65 degrees, and some chilly water for a wading trip. Fished all day and managed ...more to find some good fish... Hit the reds and flounder at high tide working baits fairly slow bumping them off the bottom. Ate lunch and fished a shallow cove during the low tide and got into some specks feeding at the head of the cove.

  4. Last weekend on Saturday when we had a nice calm surf. Water was so clear that soft plastics were no longer doing the trick. Catch em early in the morning before ...more the sun came up/right after the sun went down before it got dark. Other than those times the conditions were in the fishes favor and busted us all day. This was the start to my week vacation in gtown. Flounder pics from last week coming.

Wading the high end of a deep gut about was it deep. Hit right when the water stopped moving on an incoming tide. New PB I was talking about in another blert. Just ...more wanted to post another pic with a better shot of her.

This was round two in the flounder hole with @saltynutz. The reason I put trout cause I exceeded my PB trout with a 24.5" beast. Nailed the white/orange gulp ...more on the edge of a deep gut. Besides that we landed 7 flounder working the deep guts wading in about waist deep water. Bite was the most heavy during the slack tide after the high tide. Once the tide started to go out, the fish went with it....

      @HobieQuiped nice haul

  7. Details: Gulf Flounder

Me and @saltynutz hit the secret flounder hole two mornings last week and had some great success. 8 flounder and 1 red this time around. I will post more pics of ...more round two in the flounder hole. Casting off a high shelf into about chest deep water and jigging slow up the side of the gut. Left em biting due to a nasty storm that blew in while wading. Hit the red in around 1.5 fow.

      Great haul!
  8. Hit the beach around 7am Monday morning. Water was trout green with about 1ft swells. Wind was scarce early on but picked up to about 15mph. High tide, and fishing ...more between the second and third bar. Would catch trout in spurts but was consistent. Cast out, let it sink to the bottom and slow steady swim retrieve on the way back. Had to work for a limit but managed a full stringer by 1pm.

  9. Fishing at surfside beach with @saltynutz Friday night until Saturday afternoon. High tide, 10-15 mph winds, not a cloud in sight, bait EVERYWHERE in the surf, water ...more looks like milk chocolate. Caught 2 blacktips @ 4.5' and one @ 3'. Buddy faught a beast for 1.5 hours but broke us off after 1hr and 32min. Also landed a bull red and slot red! Left em bighting around 3:00pm and Saturday.

All baits were walked out and casted between the 2nd and 3rd bars!!!!! Forgot to add that in the description!!

Had to of been a huge shark... I have 9 videos which I took every 10 minutes along the way. The line was pretty frayed from rubbing against the sand bars... We actually ...more notice it in one of the videos.

  10. Shot out Freeport to see what we could find. Slight chop with 10-15mph winds, no clouds, and lots of shrimp boats(SB) near by. Kept trucking until we found better ...more colored water and headed towards the closest shrimp boat. Passed a pod of dolphins that looked like they were running bait near SB. Got the trolling gear out to follow and BAM it was on! 4 kings and 4 sharks all caught trolling near SB.

King Mackerel with a Rapala Mag-22 firetiger with #120 black wire leader about 5' off the lure. Also used a green feather trolling jig with a cigar minnow rigge...

Great catches, fellow Hobie. Just got me a Tandem Oasis. Where you salt fishn at now days?
