      @red_psycho man it was crazy, I went to the spot and said I am going to catch a gar today and it happen on my spinnerbait and not the wire leader with shad on it, ...more had some good bits but didn't catch

    So I actually went down fishing today to fish for bass and set a pole with a wire leader to catch a gar and I get nothing all day on gar rig and catch a gar on my ...more bass rig. Pic doesn't do him justice!

      @missplacedredbecck no worries I released him so he will be good and fat to catch when u make it back. Spent 18 in the northeast and I don't miss it one bit. ...more Sorry dude best of luck makin it back!

      Any trouble with the teath they also make great eating and if you use a heavy mono leader like 20+lbs you'll get more bites and they can't chew it through ...more NEVER use braid for hook length it cuts like

      If you ever get bit by a gar it's because you scared of them heck I just to bare hand them my the mouth never gotten bit if you gab them be hind the front fins ...more and by the tail you should never have
