Do you have to oil your reels or does it just make it better?

Largemouth Bass with a tungsten vs lead weights!!!

    1. jason felter 0
I prefer tungsten. Because of the sensitivity and the sound it gives off rather than lead.and a bonus is that they come in a big variety of sizes shapes and colors
    2. baitslinger 0
Don't convince you to switch I don't think the others will either. Any questions I will be happy to answer
    3. baitslinger 0
Rod like the h3 titanium etc. just changing this and braided line will tremendously help you feel of structure bites bottom change and everything along the way. ...more There are more advantages but if these
    4. baitslinger 0
Chance getting hung or dragging grass with you. This is a small tackle trip that you will be fishing night and day difference if you have never thrown tungsten. ...more If you can't afford a super sensitive
    5. baitslinger 0
Clacking sound that can help a lot in murky water. SIZE is a big advantage in a lot of aspects. Say Texas rig running your soft plastic through vegetation or between ...more structure you have a lot less
    6. baitslinger 0
Factor. The lead is more "mushy" and tends to absorb a lot of vibration instead of sending it through the line. Carolina it smacks on the beads. I prefer ...more glass but is makes a lot more destinctive
    7. baitslinger 0
Ok so tungsten weight are much HARDER, SENSITIVE, AND SMALLER than lead weights. A down fall is the price difference. So talking about density if you are rigged ...more Texas or carolina density plays a huge

  3. Details: Red (redfish) Drum with a flatts killer on 1/8 oz jig head

Remember this. Reds are patternized by tides. They tend to be at the same place the same time of the tide everyday. Once you find a school record where what time ...more of day and what tide you were fishing

Anytime you see a book icon (new feature in new release), it means one of our moderators thought the Blert contained useful info others could learn from.
    12. baitslinger 0
@MulletHead thanks. What does that mean?
    13. baitslinger 0
But I do not fish dead low tides ANYWHERE. That's just me. A dead low is when a low tide reaches its lowest point and stays there for a while until the rising ...more tide starts coming up. That's just me tho
    14. Gabe Mitchell 0
      Awesome Blert! Booked it.
    15. baitslinger 0
People make. Like 1 month ago I couldn't find a single mullet in the surf but tore the reds up on crab. Hope this helps @Lon85
    16. baitslinger 0
Weather, tides, winds, etc. always good to have your rod in the water before the sun rises and before the sun drops. Make sure you are fishing with what bait is ...more available. That is a huge mistake
    17. baitslinger 0
Are called channel bass and tend to follow deeper water surrounded by flats, in your case in the surf they would be sand bars. From my experience surf fishing big ...more bulls have been good in various
    18. baitslinger 0
Benifit a lot by having reds stay in our complex almost year round. The bulls run up and down the beach line. I have had good luck surf fishing finding a channel ...more and targeting that. As you know reds

From 6" to 2 ft on a good tide. The east tides vary 4-5 sometimes 6ft. So having said that. Us southern gulf coast fishermen have to consider is it a high tide ...more with low wind or strong wind. Etc. we
    20. baitslinger 0
Ok surf is a little different. In the gulf our tides do not vary as much as say the east coast virginia etc. so the wind plays a huge factor with our tides down ...more here. A tide in our location can be

@baitslinger I have a question. The info you gave. Would it only work if you have a boat.. Etc? Because I mainly fish on the surf, or pier.
    22. baitslinger 0
@Lon85 thanks. I have a lot more info on tides for those who are interested but I thought it might get overwhelming all at once
    23. Lon85 0
@baitslinger wow! Nice haul!! Thanks for the extremely good info! Greatly appreciated bro!
    24. baitslinger 0
Different schools you will never be dissapointed. I keep a journal with everything from bait used to location time of day water temp and tide. I hit one spot after ...more the other. Just food for thought.
    25. baitslinger 0
On a low tide you can find them on points and on rising tides you can find them in coves or along the edge of a grass line waiting to enter new vegetation as the ...more tide allows. Once you target about 6
