      I usually find the gar firdt and cast the had near them

      I use a single bait holder hook and go through the back of the gar, usually a 2/O hook @freshwater7354

      Sometimes that's what you have to do @Lunchbox64 I just use a 2/I single bait holder hook in flurocarbon line and double hook it through a smaller shad

      I have hooked more than ten the past month and have yet to land one even the small ones. I might just have to let them take the bait to their stomachs.
