These frogs were deadly through October. I'd throw up on the bank and drop into grass, greener the better. Count to three!
Fun day on Cedar Creek Lake. Bass are finally coming into some shallow water. The big freeze really changed fish patterns this year, maybe even delayed the spawn ...more a bit. The best bait on the lake for me was the frog topwater. This guy really swallowed it. As of this posting, frogs are done. Squarebills really good now.
Been a weird year. I believe the freeze really threw things off at Cedar Creek Lake this year. Fish are scattered and you have to work for everything you get. ...more I caught this one in high heat and almost 90 degree water. Shallow, I was throwing a frog in about 2 feet of water and grass. Most fish have been deep, but she was shallow. Best I've caught all summer.
