Using senco worm on a drop shot in about 20 foot of water. Fought with him for 15 minutes. He took me from the front of the boat to the back of the boat then to ...more the other side of the boat and back up to the front till we finally netted him. He was hooked pretty good into the side of the mouth. Then when we were weighing him he flipped the scale out of my hand flopped on the floor. Ashley and I started doing the jig as not to get bit lol. And of course the scale busted into pieces. Quite hilarious. We put the fish back into the lake. Ashley was so concerned she thought someone released it in the lake so she called the dnr to find out if it was a fish that should be in the lake. Yes it was and it was a good size and they are good eating as well. I also sent the pick int john Gillespie’s Waters and Woods and got a $25 certificate. Thank you very much.
  3. Caught this on an blue and silver twist tail grub attached to a yellow and pink jig 1/8 oz with a slip bobber at about 10’. On an ultra light st croix fast rod and ...more 8# mono with and ultra light inexpensive Cabala reel. Finessed him in weighed measured and released him. Beautiful fish

  4. I’ve been no catch for 20 years. Today I started with a walleye, too small to keep and a short time later my worm got hammered by a 4lb. Large mouth bass. How awesome, ...more my largest inland catch. I can’t wait to catch more monsters, what a great day!

About

My partner and I love fishing sadly it’s become more difficult without a boat. As the years have gone by there has become less place to fish ...more from shore. When I’m not fishing I’m usually gardening or photographing nature. When Ashley, my partner, is not fishing she, hitting a little white ball around the golf course. Some day we hope to have a fishing boat. For now we keep trying to locate a place to fish from shore. Any ideas?!
