the biggest Spanish mackerel I have ever got or have seen. A flatline pilchard did the trick. I know he's over 30", but 6+lbs is big for a Spanish mackerel.
We got our first sailfish this year. Brian B realed it in, I drove the boat, and uncle Joe cleared the lines. It's crossed off the bucket list for all of us. ...more very blessed.
A good day with the nemet family and friends. Treasure your family time, because you never know what tomorrow brings. #raymarinepro #fishinglife 6/25/23: Back to ...more my roots taking out my Dad, Mom and friends Vinny, Paula, Terry TJ Kremer. Went west looking for signs of life using our Raymarine Axiom. Found some suspended fish around the lighthouse in the high 60s and started to fish. We had a slow pick all day and wondered around. 36 eyes boxed plus 2/4 on steelhead when our adventure was over. We fished a high/low program with a virtually non-existent bite in the middle (sea fleas were thick and seemed to be dividing the water column). Team Dreamweaver divers did most of the damage down deep (3 setting back 180 to 200 with Gibbs Fishing stingray brown trout, 1 setting back 165 with scorpion green tux spoons) and up high we had FishUSA stealthcore (5 cores) with Renosky Lures LLC and scorpion spoons (green alewive, black tux, green tux).
If you want to see the difference between Raymarine Axiom and Axiom+ MFD's display brightness, here it is. Both are on full brightness. The Axiom+ also has the ...more faster processor and more memory. We'll see how long Nemesis can handle the difference before he wants the other one replaced. Also the carbon fiber dash upgrade. #raymarinepro #fishinglife
Had a great day with the Guys from "Heartbeat" on Sunday. I've been away to long. We had a lot of quality fish. Thanks to Dr Bob and the crew for the ...more invite. #fishinglife #raymarinepro
A good day on the 409 hump. Not fast and furius, but we got our 10 tuna. We deep jigged and picked up a couple Amber Jacks as well. We worked our way back in and ...more found some Mahi Mahi at some weeds. We caught a few but they were all to small. We tried multiple spots on the way back with out much luck. The weeds just aren't established enough yet. The "Joe's wreck" gave us another AJ and everyone was wore out. A good offshore day with friends. Thanks to Tim, Mary, and Jen for the good time. #raymarinepartner #saltwaterfishing #deepseafishing #bucketlist
We went to the Marathon West hump to find tuna. Using squid skirts it didn't take long. We got our 10 tuna for the boat in quick order. We tried deep jigging ...more but the current was ripping and we couldn't keep the jigs vertical. We decided to head back to Long Key and see what we could find. We found some floating debris on the way back in 600 feet of water. There were a hundred bar jacks, a small shark, and we chummed up our first Mahi of the Year!!! Using a chunked up Bonita we got them to the boat and the action was insane. Probably had 10 to 20 Mahi around the boat! When said and done we got some and let the rest go for another day. This is why I stay here in April, and It's just getting started. #Raymarine Partner #Saltwaterfishing #deepseafishing
First time to Flamingo Marina. Gas price $6.45, wow!! Had a difficult time getting out of the entrance to the marina. It was almost low tide, and the entrance was ...more only 6 inches of water most of the way out. Good thing my Carolina Skiff only needs 6 inches!! Also, in case nobody ever tells you, there is a Dam in the way of getting up stream!!! You can only go upstream if you launch on that side of the dam. Kind of hard to do if youβre coming by boat from Long Key. #Raymarinepartner #saltwaterfishing #Fishinglife.
