    Took pops out today and put him on some bull reds. Released this beauty to fight another day! We also caught several keeper sheepshead which got the fillet knife.

    Wife caught this nice tilapia on Lake Arenal near La Fortuna, Costa Rica. The tilapia is an invasive species to the lake after a tilapia farm had a few escapees. ...more Our hotel is grilling this one for dinner. We missed several nice rainbow bass hits today.     Caught several Machaca today on Lake Arenal near the Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica. Will throw up another blert that shows the teeth. I was throwing a topwater ...more plug and walking it. The fish would hit as soon as the bait splashed the surface. The Machaca is omnivorous and eats things that fall out of the rainforest trees such as fruits, nuts, and even bird droppings from cormorants.

    Fished off the hotel dock and this was all That happened. Had numerous small bites that took some Gulp tails. Also saw lots of stingrays in shallow water at low ...more tide feeding on shrimp. Trying an inlet I scoured tomorrow.

    Just adding for my species. Foul hooked 5-6 mullet today fishing for some reds under a big school of bait.
