1. Walking down the trail to the pond i fish and I hear a squeak come from the trees, this is what I found. I'm pretty sure it was a racer eating a tree frog. ...more I didn't get a good picture because as soon as it finished it hit the ground and was gone in a flash.

    1. matter153 0
      @matt he ate it all
    2. Matt Dobson 0
      Very cool. Did he eat the frog or drop it??

  2. Yet another snake... Can't complain though, a beautiful four foot king snake. It's rare that I catch as many snakes in a day as I do fish.

    1. matter153 0
      @TCave thanks
    2. diggerman 0
      Nice catch.

      I never knew there was such a thing, I'll check it out

      Well said, I feel the same way about snakes. The snake blerts would fit in well on Huntingscout. You can use the same username and password.
    6. matter153 0
      They are good snakes, they eat other snakes including venomous ones. Hurts me when I hear people saying they've killed this kind. Blinded by fear and ignorance ...more I suppose.

      I see those a lot!

    5. matter153 0
      @jake11 I would have many snakes, but I can't have them in my dorm😔
    6. matter153 0
      @pike_slayer I used to have a pet rat snake i rescued, I found it fishing with bite marks all along its neck. Kept it two years... Must've grown 2 feet in that ...more time... Eventually let it go.
    7. Jake Kerkhoff 0
      I have a red tailed boa, siniloan milksnake, and a western fox snake.

  5. Found this little guy when getting ready to head out fishing.

  6. I need to get a new open faced reel, I need something that can hold a good bit of 20 lb test line, and is durable and can be depended on to land fish 20-50 pounds. ...more I want to spend about 70 dollars on it, but I will go up to about 120. Any suggestions on brand or more specifically a specific model? It will be used mostly for Gar, Carp, and catfish. Just the reel by the way, not a rod.

    1. matter153 0
      Thanks for the input, ended up getting an Abu Garcia Orra. A little lighter weight then what I set out for, but it handles 17 pound monofilament great. Reels extremely ...more smooth and throws far.
    2. Sutton Dole 0
      An abu Garcia makes a good round reel for your price range
    3. jakewade 0
      Abu Garcia big game reel of some kind would be my suggestion

    5. matter153 0
      Make sure your tackle can handle it, broke my bass reel hauling the gar in, they pull hard
    6. Ben_Blocker 0
      Answer=follow
    7. Ben_Blocker 0
      Thank you. I bass fished all day to day and didn't catch a thing but there were gar homing up everywhere.
    8. matter153 0
      Fray the rope, I use zip ties to attach it to a steel leader... Their teeth get tangled up in the rope and you got em. And very good eating, had some for lunch actually!
    9. Laine Dillard 0
      Nice one good eating size
    10. Ben_Blocker 0
      Nylon rope? I would like to try this. Can u tell me more on how it works?

    2. That's my truck
    3. matter153 0

    5. AllWaterLife 0
      On the last comment, have you considered checking him into a mental hospital?
    6. matter153 0
      Owner wanted them out, he wants a bream pond not a bass pond
    7. Laine Dillard 0

About

I fish for what bites. Nothing beats the pull of a large trash fish, except the pull of a large bass.
