  Make sure your tackle can handle it, broke my bass reel hauling the gar in, they pull hard

  Thank you. I bass fished all day to day and didn't catch a thing but there were gar homing up everywhere.

  Fray the rope, I use zip ties to attach it to a steel leader... Their teeth get tangled up in the rope and you got em. And very good eating, had some for lunch actually!
