    Water Temp 70 65 FOW Trolling planers with free lined herring. Measured out to 25.5" and 7.1 on the scale!

    Decided to rig up this 10gal. water cooler as a baitwell. Notched out the lid for the hoses, got two frabill min-o-life aerator pumps (7.5gal/pump) and two bubble ...more stones. Gotta see how it works out next weekend!

      A buddy of mine was jigging a White SPRO bucktail not tipped with anything and got some hits. That's all I know.

      I've thrown a number of top waters (spooks, chug bugs, ba donk a donks) and got nothing. Also, thrown some Rapala crank baits at them and got nothing.

      I only know about stripers and hybrids. They WILL bite live herring on a Carolina rig or free lined.

    Details: Hybrid Striped Bass with a Live Herring

    Put six in the boat fairly quick. Live Herring on a carolina rig, 6/0 circle hook, 1oz/1.5oz lead down lining in about 30-45ft. of water. Biggest was just over ...more 3lbs. Can't wait to hook a bigger striper, great fighting fish! Striped Bass Veracruz for dinner tonight!!
