  8. Details: Hybrid Striped Bass with a Striped Bass Baits! Help!

    I think that I might go fishing this weekend to fish for striped Bass. I need to know what type of bait would work the best to get them. Any help/tips are appreciated!

    1. mharr32 0
      I troll with live shad, but just a personal preference. Works well here in TN.
    2. fishing_soccer 0
      ok thanks @elkaholic
    3. dallin dallin 0
      Dropshot or just a hook with some split shot a foot up. Doesn't matter, as long as there's weight to get it down. Then just leave it and kick back and relax ...more till a striper takes it
    4. fishing_soccer 0
      @elkaholic what rig do you like to rig them on?
    5. fishing_soccer 0
      @elkaholic thanks that's gonna help!!!
    6. dallin dallin 0
      Oh and remmember to chum a handful of pieces every 5 min
    7. dallin dallin 0
      You can usually get em at Walmart
    8. dallin dallin 0
      Frozen anchovies are THE best freshwater striper bait!! Catch hundreds on em at lake powell. Go along a drop off and sink em down to 70 feet bor deeper but off the ...more bottom. Or night fish under a light
    9. fishing_soccer 0
      i think it is fresh because I live in Texas and I don't think my dad will take a 3 hour drive to the nearest saltwater for one day. I just found that Blood worms ...more could probably work. @mharr32
    10. fishing_soccer 0
      I think it
    11. mharr32 0
      Do you know if it's fresh or saltwater? I'm assuming salt since you are looking to use bloodworms
    12. fishing_soccer 0
      what is something that you always take?@mharr32 I looked up that the Berkley Blood worms are good.
    13. fishing_soccer 0
      @mharr32
    14. fishing_soccer 0
      I actually don't know tbh. My dad has a friend and just invited hin to go fishing somewhere.
    15. mharr32 0
      A lot depends on where you're fishing, what the water is like, fish species present in the area, etc. What's it like?
