Learning how to fly fish any pointers??

    1. reddogflies 0
Remember that you are casting the line not the lure. The line has all of the weight not the fly also check out YouTube that's how I learned!
    2. eeval1 0
Thanks for pointers @FISH_FEST and @wyldechylde77
    3. Collin Collin 0
      @eeval1
    4. Collin Collin 0
Also, fly fishing doesn't require that you must cast as far as physically possible outward. Most of the fish you catch will be less than 15 yards from your location.
    5. Collin Collin 0
When getting ready to cast keep your rod back at a 10 degree angle and then flick the wrist forward to a 2 degree angle. Repeat this process until enough line is ...more out for comfortable casting.
    6. Chuck LaBruna 0
...and learn the Roll Casts. Go to orvis.com, watch the vids and watch YouTube vids.
    7. Chuck LaBruna 0
LOTS of practice! Learn the basics before you even take it out on the water! It's not hard, but practice is key. Tie on a small piece of yarn to act as your ...more "fly". Learn the forward and back casts....

I didn't personally this was an old picture taken by my broi was not there .. The waters they fish are heavily enforced I'm sure they wouldn't have taken ...more it if it was illegal @sturgking707

    8. eeval1 0
They wouldn't have kept it if it was against the law ..
    9. Anthony Brasil 0
That big one is definitely against the law. You're not supposed to even remove sturgeon over 68 inches from the water, let alone keep them. You can legally keep ...more 3 that are within 40-60 inches a year.
    10. reel_serious 0
@eeval1 oh. Didn't know that. Nice catch brotha!
    11. eeval1 0
@reel_serious ... There is a limit per year in size and amount ..
    12. reel_serious 0
      You can keep sturgeon?
    13. eeval1 0
      Grass shrimp /ghost shrimp mix
    14. Lucas Pennington 0
