    I was going to say grass pickerel because of the location but the pattern suggests the northern pike.

      They're so aggressive when they're still babies. They'll hit anything.

      Very well. I knew it couldn't be a northern because the coloring is too light. It just caught me off guard to see that pattern down here

      It has those long black lines under it's eyes that suggest it is indeed a chain pickerel.

      There aren't northerns in Hartwell, gotta be a pickerel of some sort. Pattern probably isn't matured yet

I'm a large guy with hands big enough to comfortably palm a basketball. If my fish look small it's just a comparison issue. I fish more than ...more most and more than I should.
