Got this solid 1lb 8oz bass on Friday afternoon. I found alot of shad being chased in a pocket and I slowly got back in there. They didn't seem to want a jerkbait, crankbait, underspin, or anything. I tied on a Pop-R and got this one on the very first cast. As you can see, it was quite cold and windy outside. It seemed like the fish would hit the shad when the wind would calm down for a minute
