1. Details: Golden Rainbow Trout with a "fly" fishing

scenery on the Guadalupe was as good or better than the fishing. like I said in prior blert this doesn't compare to other trout fishing I've done but still ...more cool to be able to do it an hour from home.

m going there this weekend and was wondering what to use with a spinning rod, because your not really allowed to use power bait

  2. Details: Golden Rainbow Trout with a fly rod, stone fly, orange and pink egg flies

fly fishing float trip yesterday on the Guadalupe. 15 rainbows between 4 of us. current/flow was weak and fish were small (nothing > 20 in) but setting was great. ...more guide called the flies we were using "eggs" but as suspected when I asked him what the fish think these are he said "the food pellets they were used to eating in the hatchery holding tanks". not the purest experience but fun to do once
