      shellcracker) and they are usually a more bluegill like colored fish with lots of yellow and brown, its confusing because both have a red lining in the gill spot

      this is gonna sound funny but thats actually a pumkinseed sunfish because of the smaller mouth and colors, a redeared sunfish has a larger mouth made for cracking ...more seeds and nuts (hence the name
