1. Not sure what type of fish. Looks similar to many species I've seen around. Anyone have a clue?

      I think you might be right. It had no adipose fin, long anal ray and it's tail I could see purple, pinkish hue. Comparing it now to gizzard shad and it looks ...more similar. Thanks.

      @adminao looms like a really big gizzard shad. I could be wrong though.

    Same fish, different pose. A bit over 9 pounds and 30 inches. My biggest one this season.

      Thanks, the creeks all a little different since they put in the lampray ladder at springland. I fish the game club a lot but there's a ton of new members, so ...more there's a lot of foot traffic in there now
